More than 100 runaway goats were filmed casually walking through a suburban neighbourhood among baffled residents. People living in the area woke up to see the herd munching on the grass in Boise, Idaho, US. They’d escaped their retention pond by breaking through a wooden fence to look for snacks, according to the Idaho Statesman. Bizarre footage shows some of the goats politely crossing the road. Others seemed more excitable and ran along in the middle of the street.
The animals ate their way through leaves and flowerbeds and ventured from garden to garden. And families came to watch the entertaining display. Local company We Rent Goats owned the goats and worked with residents to round them up, News flare reports. They were loaded into a truck and taken back to where they came from.
“The neighborhood banded together to force them into one lawn while they were waiting for us,” We Rent Goats owner Matt Gabica told NBC News.
“Everyone seemed to be enjoying it.
“Mothers brought infants in strollers to see the goats.”
According to reports, the Boise city government spokesman Mike Journee confirmed the company will be contacting neighbours whose gardens were damaged.
